You've got questions. I've got answers. Let's do the standard bio stuff.

1. Who ARE you?

No one of concequence :) But if you really want to know; My name is Evan Doughty. I live in Kent, OH most of the year. During the summer I live in Cincinnati. I'm a pretty self-conscious guy. I like to bowl, and watch movies. I'm a big moie buff. I'm also into computers...I like fooling around with them (hacking). One day, I hope to move to a larger city. Then I'd be cooler.

2. How does moving to a big city make you cooler?

Easy. First, we assume that there are more "uncool" people than there are "cool" people. Then, we say that in a large city, there would be many more "uncool" people than there would "cool" people. Now, when I move to a big city, there will be more people less cool than I am, simply because there are more people. Thus, I am cooler in large cities.

3. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

That isn't a question!

4. Ok. What do you do for fun?

I hang out with my friends; Tom, Darby, Shana, Dave, and some other people. Next year (as in August of 2001) I will hang out with Jerry a lot more, too.

5. Wasn't that last answer kind of vague?

Maybe.

6. You sound like a real loser. Do you work for a living?

Actually, yes, I work. I work for Kent State University as a member of the ResNet Staff. I help people with their computers; I install ethernet cards, fix problems, etc. I also try to convince my co-workers that their Operating Systems (Win9x, NT, ME, XP and 2000) are crap. They should switch to GNU/Linux. Also, I have worked for Compaq Computers as a support specialist. (help desk).

7. Do you have any skills?

I can code in C++ and I'm learning Perl, GTK, and HTML. Actually, this website is how I'm teaching myself HTML. I also am excellent with customer support, which is why most of my jobs focus around it. And, FWIW, I can flip my eyelids up and keep them that way for a long time. Not really useful, but it's a skill...

8. Do you have any goals in life?

Yep. I want to graduate from college. That's it for now, but I'm a one-goal-at-a-time kind of person.

9. Why do you put your journal on-line?

I get this question more than any other. I can't really explain why; I just feel better that way. It helps my friends and family keep up on me...my grandfather reads my journal daily, and gives me advice on things. My friends can see what I'm really thinking, which can be both good and bad. It's therapeutic. I like keeping a journal, and by knowing other people read it and are expecting entries, it motivates me to keep writing.

10. This Bio sucks. Who do I complain to?

I'd put an e-mail address here, but by not doing that I've made your comment even more correct! See? I'm always thinking about my readers.
